Broward Center achieves Silver LEED recognition! Patrons are enjoying the new Rose Miniaci Education Center, Huizenga Pavilion and the renovated theaters in the knowledge that the site and associated buildings now meet the US Green Building Council’s best-in-class building strategies and practices.

 

This certification is provided to projects that save money and resources and have a positive impact on the health of occupants, while promoting renewable, clean energy.    

 

Bee Swarm article in Boston Globe

 

6/28 Sunday Boston Globe, Metro West Section: One of our bee hives swarmed on Memorial day May 25th - we were lucky to have them coalesce on a white cedar 8'-10' above our house.

 

Son Christopher climbed the tree and we were able to catch the cut branch with the swarm on it in a box and they are now in their own hive happily making brood and wax foundations for honey.
